IV. A Preview of Emerging Trends, Highlighting Current Topics

1. Surge in Demand for Pre-Made Bakery Products and the Expansion of the 6th Pre-Made Bakery Festival

The pre-made bakery segment is witnessing a notable upsurge within the food industry. In 2022, the Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) for pre-made bakery items on TikTok escalated by over 600% in comparison to 2021. The platform recorded a 220% increase in the number of merchants and a 450% surge in creators receiving orders in this category. Furthermore, the user base making payments expanded by more than 258%. Bakery China has significantly expanded its pre-made bakery exhibition area since initiating the Pre-made Bakery Festival in 2022, drawing in newcomers from across the industry's supply chain.
